Lightfast – Group

Tuesday April 27th I hosted a small informal group of photographers at MCP. They ranged from a veteran photographer who made images in Alaska in the 60’s for the armed forces and Life magazine to novice image makers who recently discovery photography as a means of creative expression. We talked about our backgrounds and what has led us to use photography. The answers where quite varied. The common thread was that we reached a point in our lives where we finally had the time to explore how we saw the world using a camera and the print whether digital or on paper. The evening was full of artistic/photographic dialog and sharing images open for feedback. The evening seemed to be a success since our conversations where cut short because the center was closing and we where forced to leave.

If you interested in partaking in the group, the next meeting will be announced on this page soon. So far we will meet on the last Tuesday of the month 6-9pm.
